Saint-Etienne defender and West Ham target Kevin Malcuit prefers a move to England despite receiving an offer from Lille.

The Ligue 1 club are poised to sell several of their bankable stars before adding to their squad this summer and Malcuit is one of the players they are prepared to listen to offers for.

Lille are interested in snapping him up and the club have tabled a €7m bid for the player, but Malcuit has other ideas and is keener on a move to England during the summer transfer window.

West Ham and Newcastle United have been linked with a move for the full-back and according to French sports daily L’Equipe, the player prefers a move to the Premier League.

Malcuit has been on the radar of the Premier League clubs for months and the defender is expected to prioritise a move across the English Channel before listening to offers in France.

Saint-Etienne would also prefer selling him to an English club as they expect to receive a better price compared to selling him to another Ligue 1 club in France.

Lille are on his trail for the moment, but Malcuit is yet to make a decision and is waiting for a concrete offer from an English club to land on his table.
