Sunderland forward and Celtic target Fabio Borini will undergo a medical in Italy on Thursday ahead of his proposed move to AC Milan.

With Sunderland relegated from the Premier League, the forward has been pushing for a move away from the Black Cats and had a number of sides keen.




Brendan Rodgers has been reportedly set on taking his former Liverpool man to Celtic and Lazio have been working hard behind the scenes to convince the former Roma man to move to the Stadio Olimpico.

However, Borini has always prioritised a move back to Italy with AC Milan and the Rossoneri have clinched a deal for the signature of the forward from Sunderland this summer.
 


The details of the agreement are still unclear, but Borini is expected to complete the move soon as according to Sky Italia, he has been booked for medical with AC Milan on Thursday.

Following the completion of the medical, the forward will sign a contract with AC Milan and return to Italian football for the first time after leaving Roma for Liverpool in 2012.

AC Milan have always been Borini’s first choice this summer and the player is on his way towards a completing a move to the San Siro in the next few days.
