Felix Wiedwald could complete his transfer to Leeds United by the end of the week.

The goalkeeper recently told Werder Bremen of his desire to leave the club and the Bundesliga side have been happy to grant the 27-year-old's wish, with an asking price of just €500,000 placed on his head.

He quickly attracted a whole host of English clubs, but it is Leeds who are winning the race, with Wieldwald set to drop down to second tier football next season.

According to German news agency DPA, Wiedwald's move to Leeds could be completed by the end of the week.

The Whites are pressing the accelerator to push the deal over the line and take the German to Elland Road.
