Leeds United are interested in snapping up Chelsea midfielder Mario Pasalic on loan deal this summer, but will have to battle two sides from Serie A and one from La Liga for his signature.

The Croatian midfielder spent last season on loan at AC Milan and the Rossoneri have been keen on extending his stay at the San Siro beyond the summer transfer window.

However, Pasalic is expected to sign a new contract with Chelsea and could return to Italy for another loan deal, with Lazio also interested in snapping him up this summer.

But they are facing competition from La Liga giants Valencia and according to Sky Italia, Pasalic is also on the radar of Championship club Leeds during the transfer window.

Leeds have already added Mateusz Klich to their midfield this summer, with young Madger Gomes also joining the Yorkshire giants from Liverpool earlier this week.

However, it seems new Leeds head coach Thomas Christiansen is keen on adding more midfield options and it has been claimed Pasalic is a loan target for the Whites.

Pasalic played top tier football in Italy last season and it remains to be seen whether he has the appetite to play in the English Championship next term at Leeds, especially given interest from Serie A and La Liga.
