Montpellier coach Michel Der Zakarian has insisted that the club are yet to receive an offer for Newcastle United target Ryad Boudebouz this summer, but has indicated there could be movement on the asking price of €15m.

The Algerian attacking midfielder's future at Montpellier has been under the scanner all summer and he has been regularly linked with a move to a number of clubs in Europe.

Other than Newcastle, the Algeria international has also attracted interest from Bayer Leverkusen and Lazio, but Der Zakarian revealed they are yet to receive an offer for Boudebouz.

But with Montpellier earning good money from Steve Mounie’s sale to Huddersfield Town, the Armenian indicated that the club could consider Boudebouz’s €15m asking price.

Der Zakarian was quoted as saying by Le Buteur: “We have not received a single offer this month.

“But with the good sale of Steve Mounie, we may be more interested in the price for Ryad.”

And the Montpellier boss admits that they have an agreement with the attacking midfielder and he can leave as soon as the club receive a good offer for the player.

“But we have a deal with him and he can leave at any time.”

Boudebouz, who has a contract until 2019 with the Ligue 1 club, scored eleven goals and provided ten assists in all competitions last season.
