Tottenham Hotspur defender Eric Dier believes that it is absolutely "brilliant" for his team to have a player of Harry Kane's ability, someone who is brilliant both with or without the ball.

The two-time Golden Boot winner was a revelation for his side last season, contributing with a total of 35 goals, in spite of the injuries he suffered in between that limited his appearances to just 38.

Combined with that, the academy recruit also helped set up seven more goals for his team-mates, which Dier believes is a bonus for any team at any level.

According to Dier, Kane's ability with or without the ball is amazing and had he not been plagued by the injuries, Kane would have scored many more goals to have taken his tally even higher.

Giving his opinion on the star man, Dier told his club's official website: “Everyone has already said everything [about him] you can say really.

“Harry’s desire to score is fantastic and it’s brilliant for the team to have someone like him that not only scores so many goals but is willing to work for the team with and without the ball.

"He’s been fantastic again and imagine how many goals he would have got if he wasn’t injured.

"To finish as top scorer after eleven weeks out with injury is just amazing really.”

The Manchester United-linked defender also took time to speak about another team-mate, Heung-Min Son, who he believes has got "a bit of everything".

"I hope he can build on this now.

"He’s a fantastic player, he’s got so much quality, he’s quick, strong, can dribble, can shoot with both feet so he’s got a bit of everything and it’s up to him now really if he wants to push on again to another level.”
