Progres Niederkorn winger Emmanuel Francoise has revealed his team’s excitement ahead of their trip to Rangers in the first leg of their Europa League qualifier tonight.

Rangers will be marking their return to European football when they host the Luxembourg outfit in the Europa League qualifier tonight at Ibrox and their opponents can’t wait get on to the pitch.




Reflecting on the draw, Francoise indicated that Progres always wanted to face Rangers as they believed that facing the Scottish giants would be a big experience for the players.

And the winger admits that the Progres players were excited to see that Ibrox will be sold out and they cannot wait to play in front of a capacity crowd under the floodlights tonight.
 


Francoise is also aware that it is a big night for Rangers, who will be hoping to mark their return to European football with a win.

The 30-year-old winger told France Football when asked about the draw: “It was between Valetta [from Malta] and Rangers.

“We knew they are the only team that could bring us the incredible experience of playing in a large stadium and this is an exceptional opportunity.

“Immediately after the draw we saw on the internet that the match would be sold out and we looked at the stadium capacity – 51,000 seats. We cannot wait.

“It’s a big night for them too as it will be their great return to Europe.”
