Saint-Etienne have slapped an asking price on West Ham and Newcastle United full-back target Kevin Malcuit.

The 25-year-old defender is one of the players the Ligue 1 club are prepared to lose to raise funds for their own acquisition plans this summer and they are aware that the Frenchman has attracted interest.

Lille recently slapped in a €7m offer for the player but Saint-Etienne don’t feel it is a good enough bid and have knocked back the offer from their fellow Ligue 1 club this summer.

Saint-Etienne are prepared to lose one of their key performers, but according to French sports daily L’Equipe, they want around €10m from his sale in the current window.

With clubs such as Newcastle and West Ham linked with the right-back, the Ligue 1 club are confident that they will be able to sell Malcuit at their asking price.
