Monaco are yet to receive an offer from Paris Saint-Germain for Manchester United target Fabinho this summer.

The Brazilian’s future at Monaco has been under the scanner for a while and there were recent suggestions that Manchester United were closing in on his signature.

However, it seems Jose Mourinho’s side have taken a back seat in the chase and PSG are currently the front runners to snare the Brazilian midfielder away from the Stade Louis II.

PSG sporting director Antero Henrique is said to have held talks with the player’s representatives over a switch to the Parc des Princes and the club are making progress in negotiations.

But according to French sports daily L’Equipe, Monaco are yet to receive an offer from the Parisians and are not expected to prefer selling him to their direct rivals in France.

The Parisians are looking to reach an agreement over a contract with the player first before approaching Monaco for the 23-year-old midfielder this summer.

Monaco are expected to demand a fee of around €50m and there have been suggestions that they have already received an offer worth €35m from Atletico Madrid.

PSG would prefer selling him to Atletico Madrid as it would allow them to keep hold of Fabinho until January as the Spanish club are barred from registering new players in the summer transfer window.
