Monaco co-owner Prince Albert believes that in-demand striker Kylian Mbappe wants to stay at the club.

Mbappe has been linked with a who's who of world football this summer on the back of his performances for Monaco, with Arsenal and Liverpool two of the clubs on his trail.

Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also willing to pay big money for Mbappe, but Monaco are working overtime to keep him at the Stade Louis II and Prince Albert is confident they will succeed.

"Can we afford to let Kylian Mbappe go? No", the prince said on France 2.

"Everything is being done to keep him. There are discussions now going on", he continued.

It has been claimed that Mbappe wants to see Monaco's plans for next season before he signs a new deal as the principality club are currently under siege, with a number of their players wanted.

Bernardo Silva has already left for Manchester City, while Tiemoune Bakayoko is expected to soon join Chelsea.

And as a result, Mbappe wants to know the side left after the summer window will be competitive.
