Dutch giants Ajax have knocked back an offer from Crystal Palace for 21-year-old defender Davinson Sanchez.

The 21-year-old defender’s future has come under the scanner in recent weeks after it emerged that the Colombian has attracted interest from England and Spain this summer.

Barcelona have been keeping tabs on Sanchez and are considering making a move for the player, but they are facing stiff competition from Premier League outfit Crystal Palace.

With former Ajax manager Frank de Boer on board, the Eagles have been making moves to take Sanchez to England but the Dutch giants have rejected their first bid for the defender.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, Ajax have knocked back an offer worth €25m from Crystal Palace and they are holding out for more money before they agree to sell him.

It has been claimed that Ajax’s asking price for Sanchez is around €35m and they would only considering selling him for that amount during the current summer transfer window.

The Amsterdam club paid around €5m to sign him from Colombian outfit Atletico Nacional last year and Sanchez impressed during his first season in Europe.

He has a contract until 2021 wit Ajax.
