Saint-Etienne have accepted a bid from Lille for West Ham and Newcastle United target Kevin Malcuit.

The defender has been linked with a move to England since January, with West Ham and Newcastle believed to be his main suitors ahead of the summer transfer window.

There were also suggestions that Malcuit preferred a move to England, but the arrival of Marcelo Bielsa at Lille changed everything and the right-back recently insisted that he would love to work under the legendary Argentine coach.

Bielsa turned the transfer saga towards Lille’s favour and according to French magazine France Football, Saint-Etienne have accepted a bid from their fellow Ligue 1 club.

The offer is said to be in the region of €8m to €10m and the defender is expected to complete his transfer to Lille in the coming days after Saint-Etienne accepted the bid.
