Monaco have seen their bid for Newcastle United wing target Adama Diakhaby
accepted by Rennes.

The 21-year-old winger’s future has been under the scanner all summer as a number of clubs have been in interested in snapping him up from Rennes in the current window.

Newcastle and Lille have been regularly linked with a move for the player but after weeks of silence, Monaco pressed the accelerator on negotiations with Rennes earlier this week.

Talks between the two clubs stalled for a while but Monaco reopened the negotiations and according to L’Equipe, Rennes have accepted an offer from the Ligue 1 champions.

It has been claimed that Monaco have seen a €10m offer accepted by Rennes for Diakhaby and the young winger is expected to complete a move to the Stade Louis II in the coming days.
