An unnamed English club have made a lucrative offer to Liverpool and Manchester City target Inigo Martinez.

The 26-year-old defender’s future has been subject to much speculation with a number of clubs across Europe being linked with a move for him in the current window.




Inter Milan have been considering signing him this summer and the Premier League duo of Manchester City and Liverpool are keen to take him to England.

And according to Spanish sports daily AS, an unnamed Premier League side have indeed been in talks with the player and have made a lucrative offer to him to move to England.
 


Real Sociedad are aware that they could lose the player because of his €30m release clause and are trying to convince him to continue in San Sebastian next season.

This particular English club are also prepared to trigger the release clause in his contract if the player agrees to move to England with them this summer.

It remains to be seen whether another Premier League club have joined the chase or the unnamed club are either Manchester City or Liverpool, who have been keeping tabs on Martinez for a while.

Martinez also has four international caps for Spain beside his name.
