Former Liverpool director of football Damien Comolli doesn’t see Kylian Mbappe joining Paris Saint-German because of the finances involved.

Mbappe has reportedly decided to leave Monaco after getting tired of waiting for the club to offer him a fresh and improved contract and is expected to depart the Stade Louis II this summer.

Real Madrid and Barcelona are believed to be on his trail along with Manchester City and even Liverpool have not been ruled out as a possible destination for the teenage striking sensation.

PSG have also been keeping tabs on Mbappe, but they are now concentrating on getting the world record deal to sign Neymar over the line and Comolli doesn’t feel they can sign both the Brazilian and Mbappe this summer.

Monaco are expected to demand a fee of around €180m for Mbappe and the former Liverpool deal-maker doesn’t see how the finances could align for PSG to sign the Frenchman.

Asked if PSG can sign both Neymar and Mbappe, Comolli told French daily Le Parisien: “It’s impossible.

“After Neymar, PSG will be trying to earn around €100m from just player sales.”

Mbappe is also believed to be unhappy with the way Monaco have allowed their impressive squad to be picked apart and eroded by their European rivals this summer.
