Celtic have been drawn to face Kazakhstani side FC Astana in the Champions League playoff round, while Liverpool must lock horns with Bundesliga club Hoffenheim.

Brendan Rodgers' men edged past Norwegian side Rosenborg 1-0 on aggregate in their third qualifying round tie, scoring a 1-0 win in Norway to book their spot in the playoff round.




Now they face a long journey for the away leg of their playoff round tie as FC Astana provide the opposition.

The team from Kazahkstan put Polish giants Legia Warsaw out over two legs to secure their playoff round spot and will now be eyeing putting Celtic out to reach the group stage.
 


For Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, the opposition are familiar.
