Barcelona are interested in signing Arsenal target Thomas Lemar, but are only keen to take him to the Nou Camp next summer.

Arsenal have been chasing the Monaco winger all summer but are yet to find a breakthrough in negotiations with the Ligue 1 champions, who are reluctant to sell the Frenchman.

Monaco have already rejected three offers from the Gunners and have time and again reiterated their desire to hold on to the 21-year-old Lemar beyond the end of the transfer window.

Arsenal are still expected to put in further offers this month to snare Lemar away from Monaco, but they are about to face some heavyweight competition for his signature.

According to French sports daily L’Equipe, Barcelona have enquired about the possibility of signing Lemar from Monaco and have been keeping tabs on the player.
