Leeds United midfielder Eunan O’Kane has signed a new four-year contract with the Yorkshire giants.

The midfielder joined Leeds from Bournemouth last summer and despite struggling with injuries, he made an impression in his first season at Elland Road.

Leeds have moved quickly to secure his future as he remains a big part of new head coach Thomas Christiansen’s plans moving forward for the club this season.

The 27-year-old has been secured on a new contract, which means he will continue at Elland Road for at least until the end of the 2020/21 season.

O’Kane will be hoping to put his injury worries aside and play regularly this season at Leeds as the club look to achieve their promotion ambitions after finishing seventh in the last campaign.

The midfielder told LUTV after signing the new contract: "I am delighted.

"I have loved every minute that I have been here. It's a really impressive club and it's moving in the right direction and I am happy that I am going to be part of it."
