Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala has been offered to Juventus on a season-long loan deal this summer.

The 26-year-old defender is not in Pep Guardiola’s plans going forward at Manchester City and has been told to find a new club by the end of the transfer window.

A number of clubs have been linked with having an interest in the Frenchman, including Lyon, but he is yet to find a new outfit with only three weeks left in the transfer window.

However, he could be on his way to Italy this summer as according to Turin-based daily Tuttosport, Juventus have been offered the opportunity to sign the former Porto man this month.

Juventus are in the market for a defender after losing Leonardo Bonucci to AC Milan and a loan move for Mangala to the Italian champions has been mooted.

However, for the moment the Juventus hierarchy are not too excited about the prospect of signing the Manchester City defender on a loan deal.

But things could change in the coming weeks if the Italian champions fail to sign a defender and they could look to rope Mangala into the club towards the end of the window.

He still has around two years left on the contract with Manchester City.
