Leeds United are set to offload out-of-favour striker Marcus Antonsson today, with Blackburn Rovers favourites to sign the Swede.

The Whites snapped Antonsson up from Kalmar FF last summer, but he was handed little in the way of first team opportunities by Garry Monk, while Monk's successor Thomas Christiansen has kept the striker on the fringes this summer.

Antonsson has takers back in Sweden, but the striker does not want to end his English adventure.

As such he is leaving on loan and Blackburn are favourites to sign him, according to BBC Radio Leeds.

A move to Ewood Park would mean dropping down to League One for Antonsson, but he will hope by leaving Leeds on loan he can play on a regular basis.

Leeds left Antonsson out of their matchday squad last weekend for their Championship opener away at Bolton Wanderers.

The Whites are now keen on Hamburg striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga, something else which shows Antonsson is firmly out of favour at Elland Road.
