Roma sporting director Monchi will be at the Emirates Stadium tonight as he looks to convince Leicester City to sell Riyad Mahrez this summer.

Mahrez is expected to be part of the squad when Leicester open their Premier League campaign at Arsenal tonight and he will have one of his suitors watching him at the Emirates Stadium.

According to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, Monchi will be in attendance tonight in north London and is expected to meet Mahrez to discuss his proposed transfer to Roma this month.

Roma have been left frustrated by Leicester in negotiations for the Algerian as the Foxes have knocked back multiple offers from Giallorossi this summer.

Leicester are prepared to sell the player this month, but have made it clear that any deal will depend on them getting the right kind of offer for the 26-year-old winger.

Roma are preparing to put in a fresh bid for the winger, but are also considering dragging out the negotiations until the end of the window as they are aware Mahrez wants to leave Leicester.

Arsenal have also been linked with having an interest in the winger, however for the moment the Gunners are looking at other options.
