AC Milan CEO Marco Fassone has revealed that the club are in advanced negotiations with Fiorentina for Everton target Nikola Kalinic.

The 29-year-old striker has been on AC Milan’s radar all summer as they try to sign a centre forward to cap off an expensive retooling of their squad that included signing Leonardo Bonucci from Juventus.

Premier League outfit Everton have also been linked with making a move for the player, but Kalinic has been clear about joining AC Milan and a deal is close to being agreed between the Rossoneri and Fiorentina.

Fassone admits that it has been a long and hard negotiation with Fiorentina for Kalinic but he insisted that the Rossoneri are closing in on signing the striker this summer.

The AC Milan CEO told Sky Italia: “We have been talking for so long.
