Nottingham Forest have failed with a bid for Brondby goalkeeper Frederik Ronnow.

Tricky Trees boss Mark Warburton is aiming to do further transfer business before the window closes next week, and has just sealed the arrival of midfielder Liam Bridcutt from Leeds United for a fee of around £1m.

Warburton wants Denmark international custodian Ronnow at the City Ground.

However, Forest will have to dig a little deeper if they are to convince Brondby to sell as, according to the Nottingham Post, the Danish giants have just rejected a bid of €2m from the Championship side.

Brondby are claimed to value the shot-stopper at the €3m mark.

The ball is now back in Nottingham Forest's court to improve their offer for Ronnow, who Brondby snapped up from AC Horsens in 2015 and have under contract until the summer of 2019.

He made his senior Denmark bow in 2016 and has so far won six caps for the Scandinavian country.
