Inter Milan were involved in a meeting with an intermediary representing Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko on Tuesday.

The Nerazzurri are plotting a north London raid before Thursday’s transfer deadline to take two Premier League stars to the San Siro.

Inter have managed to convince Mustafi about a move to the club and the player is actively trying to leave Arsenal over the next two days in order to join the Serie A giants.

However, they are yet to agree a deal with Arsenal, who are keen to put in an obligatory purchase option in any agreement to loan out the Germany international to Inter.

Tottenham’s Sissoko is also on their radar and they want to sign him on loan, but for the moment Spurs are only interested in allowing him to leave on a permanent deal.
