Inter are working on a deal to take Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko to Italy on loan.

Spurs paid big money to sign the France international midfielder from Newcastle United last summer, beating Everton to his signature, but Sissoko's switch to north London has not lived up to expectations.

He wanted to join Trabzonspor earlier this summer on loan, but Tottenham blocked the switch as they favour a permanent sale.

The Premier League club's position appears to have now shifted slightly and Inter are looking at an agreement.

According to Sky Italia, while Inter want Sissoko, a deal will be tough to do.

The north London side are claimed to want a payment of €5m to take Sissoko on loan for the season, with an obligation to buy built in to the deal and set at €25m.

Such an agreement would effectively mean Tottenham selling Sissoko to Inter for €30m.

It remains to be seen if the Italians can strike a deal with Spurs before the window closes.
