Monaco have reached an agreement over a fee with Lazio for the signature of Tottenham Hotspur wing target Keita Balde.

The 22-year-old winger has been trying to push for a move out of Lazio for a while and it seems he is closing in completing a transfer to Ligue 1 before Thursday’s transfer deadline.

He attracted heavy Serie A interest from clubs such as Juventus, Inter Milan, AC Milan and Napoli and even Tottenham have been keeping tabs on his situation at the Stadio Olimpico.

But it seems Monaco are on the verge of signing Keita after opening talks with Lazio recently and according to Italian outlet Calciomercato.it, the two clubs have reached an agreement over a fee.

Lazio rejected an initial bid of €19m from Monaco, but the two clubs continued to maintain talks and a €35m deal has been reached, which will see Keita move to the Stade Louis II.

Monaco’s offer is head and shoulders above any bid Lazio have received thus far for Keita and the club found little trouble in reaching an agreement to sell him to Leonardo Jardim’s side.

The winger is also keen to join Monaco and is expected to travel to the Principality soon for talks over personal terms and a medical with the Ligue 1 champions.
