Celtic are snapping up young forward Odsonne Edouard on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, with the move tipped to be completed in the coming hours.

Bhoys manager Brendan Rodgers has been looking to make additions to his squad before the transfer window closes and despite having just captured Patrick Roberts, he wants further attacking options.

Rodgers has turned to Edouard and, according to French daily Le Parisien, a loan deal will be sealed imminently.

Last year the 19-year-old was sent on loan by PSG to fellow French side Toulouse.

Now the Ligue 1 giants are ready for Edouard to have a taste of life outside France.

It is claimed the forward had a number of offers on the table, not least from clubs in Spain – but he is Scotland bound.

Celtic will take Edouard on loan for the campaign, with an option to buy.

The young forward came through the youth ranks at PSG and has represented France at Under-17, Under-18 and Under-19 level.

He will now look to kick on with his career in Scotland.
