Dutch Eredivisie side FC Utrecht are interested in signing young Manchester United midfielder Matty Willock before tomorrow’s transfer deadline.

The Manchester United academy product was an unused substitute in two Premier League games last season, but is yet to make his senior debut for the club.

Not considered a big part of Jose Mourinho’s plans going forward, the midfielder is keen to leave the club for regular senior football and is attracting interest from the Netherlands.

According to Dutch daily De Telegraaf, Utrecht are in negotiations to sign the 21-year-old midfielder from Manchester United and are hoping to get a deal over the line by tomorrow.

The Dutch side are in the market for a midfield man and after considering a number of options, they have zeroed in on the Manchester United academy product as their primary target before deadline day.

While is unclear whether they want to sign him on a loan deal or a permanent transfer, Utrecht are in talks with Manchester United and are confident of signing the youngster.

Joining the Manchester United academy from Reading in 2012, Willock has been a regular for their academy sides and has made 44 appearances for the club’s reserve outfit.
