Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has confirmed that the club are not considering signing Arsenal and Manchester United linked winger Julian Draxler before tomorrow’s transfer deadline.

Draxler has been in good form since joining Paris Saint-German from Wolfsburg in January, but the landscape at the Parc des Princes has changed since Neymar joined from Barcelona earlier this month.

And the Germany winger’s place in the team is only going to become more precarious as PSG prepare to sign Kylian Mbappe from Monaco and his agent has been working hard to find a way out of the club by tomorrow for his client.

He was recently in England, fishing around for interest in Draxler with suggestions that Manchester United and Arsenal are keen, but he initially sounded out Bayern Munich about possibly signing the Germany international.

And going by Hoeness’ words, the Bavarians showed little interest as the Bayern Munich president stressed that the squad are already overflowing with quality players.

He insisted that to sign Draxler, Bayern Munich would have had to sell one of their top players this summer, which the club are not interested in.

Hoeness told SportBild: “[Bayern Munich CEO] Karl-Heinz [Rummenigge] and I recently spoke about the amount of great players we already have in our squad.

“If we were go to for a transfer like Draxler, the next question would be what about our commitment towards James [Rodriguez] and what about Thomas Muller?

“The fact that Draxler is player who would be fantastic for Bayern is beyond question, but we don’t want to sell any of our players.”

Draxler has scored ten goals and provided three assists in 27 appearances for PSG since joining the club in January.
