The Leicester City star has been tipped to move on from the King Power Stadium all summer, but Roma were unable to agree a fee for his services and dropped their interest.
He has been linked with both Chelsea and Tottenham on deadline day, but there could be a twist in the tail which sees Mahrez end up playing his football in Spain.
According to French broadcaster SFR Sport, Mahrez has just got off a plane in Barcelona.
The clock is ticking down on the transfer window, meaning Barcelona will have to act quickly to put an agreement in place with Leicester for Mahrez.
