The Black Cats have not had the best of starts in the Championship following relegation from the Premier League and are looking to majorly bolster their squad on deadline day.

Simon Grayson is keen to have more quality options in his squad and is pushing the club to make sure he has the players he needs to push for a promotion bid.

And according to BBC Radio 5 live, Sunderland are working on at least three deals on deadline day, with two of those players claimed to be from Premier League outfits.

Grayson is expecting at least three new signings before the window slams shut at 11pm tonight and he is hopeful that the club will be able to get those deals over the line in time.
