Arsenal have re-entered the race for Liverpool target Thomas Lemar, according to Sky Sports News HQ

The Gunners had been chasing Lemar earlier this summer, but saw Monaco knock back a series of offers for the France international winger, with Arsene Wenger saying the door had been closed.

Liverpool then aggressively entered the fray, making offers of their own, and it is the Reds who have been leading the chase to take Lemar to the Premier League on deadline day.

Now though the Reds have competition as Arsenal have moved back into the race.

Monaco still do not want to sell Lemar, believing they have sold too many players this summer already.

But it has been claimed the Ligue 1 champions may change their mind if a bid of €100m is slapped in for the winger before the window closes this evening.

Now the race is on to convince Monaco to sell, with a mouth-watering battle between Liverpool and Arsenal on the cards.
