Leeds United do not have an option to buy included in Pierre-Michel Lasogga's loan deal.

The Whites have signed Lasogga on loan until the end of the season from Hamburg and before the deal was struck, talk was rife that the English club wanted an option to buy set at €2m.

But according to the Yorkshire Evening Post, Leeds have no option to buy in the agreement for Lasogga.

As such, if Lasogga does well at Elland Road, other clubs could quickly rival Leeds to sign the striker from Hamburg next summer, driving up his eventual sale price.

Hamburg are expected to want to sell Lasogga next summer as he is firmly out of favour under current coach Markus Gisdol and is one of the club's highest paid players on €3.4m per year.

The Bundesliga side are thought to be shouldering a large portion of his wages during the time he is on loan at Elland Road.

Leeds will be looking for Lasogga to slot into Chris Wood's shoes as the lone striker in their preferred system, following Wood's move to Premier League side Burnley.
