Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier believes that Michael Keane is a great fit for Everton and can go on to show his quality for the Toffees.

The Toffees managed to secure the services of the young defender this summer from fellow Premier League outfit Burnley for a fee that could reach a club record of £30m.

Dier, who shares the pitch with Keane at international level, believes that the former Manchester United defender has been a great signing for Ronald Koeman's team, with the player having shown his class both at Manchester United and also at Burnley.

According to Dier, Keane is player with a good attitude towards the game and has a great personality, much needed from the point of view of a defender.

"He’s a very good player. He came from Manchester United, went to Burnley, did very well and deservedly got his move to Everton", Dier told his club's official website.

However, the 23-year-old is also clear about his team's desire to go past Keane and his defensive partner in the match at Goodison Park on Saturday, so that they can take all three points.

"I think it’s a great fit for him there and he can show his quality.

"He’s very calm on and off the pitch and has a good attitude, a good personality so he’s a very good signing for them but, as I said before, hopefully we can beat him on Saturday!”
