Mohamed Salah Starts, Philippe Coutinho On Bench – Liverpool Team vs Sevilla Confirmed

Fixture: Liverpool vs Sevilla
Competition: Champions League
Kick-off: 19:45 (UK time)

Liverpool have announced their starting eleven and substitutes to play host to Sevilla in their Champions League group stage opener this evening.

Jurgen Klopp's men will start as favourites to beat the Spanish giants, but memories of the 2016 Europa League final which saw Sevilla beat Liverpool 3-1 are still fresh in the memory.

The Liverpool boss goes with Loris Karius in goal, dropping Simon Mignolet to the bench.

At the back the German boss selects Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren as the centre-back pairing, while Emre Can, Georginio Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson will look to control midfield. Mohamed Salah plays, despite an illness, as do Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

If Klopp needs to make changes to his team at any point tonight then he can look to his bench where Philippe Coutinho is available for selection.

Liverpool Team vs Sevilla

Karius, Gomez, Matip, Lovren, Moreno, Wijnaldum, Can, Henderson, Salah, Mane, Firmino

Substitutes: Mignolet, Milner, Coutinho, Sturridge, Klavan, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Robertson
