Manchester City have started keeping tabs on Liverpool linked midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic with a view to a future move.

The Serbian’s future was under the scanner in the summer when clubs such as Juventus and Liverpool were interested in snaring him from Lazio in the recently concluded transfer window.

Lazio president Claudio Lotito has also confirmed that he rejected big money offers for the young midfielder and the club managed to keep hold of the player in the window.

However, the midfielder has been attracting even more suitors and another Premier League giant have been keeping a close watch on his performances with Lazio.

According to Italian broadcaster Sportitalia, a Manchester City scout watched him in action in Lazio’s Europa League game against Vitesse on Thursday night and more such scouting trips are on the cards.

And the club could have a job on their hands to keep Milinkovic-Savic at the Stadio Olimpico if he continues to impress for the rest of the current season.

He recently signed a new five-year contract with Lazio.
