Serge Aurier is delighted to have made his Premier League debut after being brought on just after the hour mark in Tottenham Hotspur's 0-0 draw at Wembley against Swansea City on Saturday.

Spurs snapped Aurier up from Paris Saint-Germain just before the transfer window closed and the Ivorian admits the Premier League was a competition he regularly watched and was intrigued by.

The Ivory Coast international was keen to move on from PSG and is now playing in a league he enjoys and he knows throws up surprises on a weekly basis.

Aurier told SFR Sport: "It was a league that I enjoyed when I was in Paris.

"It is watched, there are surprises every weekend, a different rhythm and mentalities", the defender explained.
