Tottenham Hotspur legend Graham Roberts has urged the fans to keep faith in Mauricio Pochettino after Spurs' lacklustre start to their Premier League campaign continued.

Pochettino's side have taken just eight points from their opening five league matches, the same number of points as Huddersfield Town, Burnley, Watford and West Brom, amongst others.

They have yet to win a league game at their temporary Wembley home, losing against Chelsea and drawing with Burnley and Swansea City.

But Roberts thinks no fingers should be pointed at Pochettino as moving to Wembley was always going to be a difficult task and on the balance of play Spurs should have won all three fixtures at the national stadium.

"All for people having views and debating, but think we should all trust the manager who has given us our best league finishes in many years", Roberts wrote on Twitter.

"He watches them train every day and the players really all love way he works.

"It was never going to be easy changing ground, but fact is we should have won all three games in league there and been unlucky.

"We are not far of clicking at home", the former defender added.

There were a number of boos around Wembley on Saturday during Spurs' draw with Swansea, while some fans also cheered when Moussa Sissoko was brought off in the 63rd minute, the Frenchman replaced by Serge Aurier.

Over 65,000 fans packed into Wembley for the Premier League clash in a further example of Spurs' pulling power.
