Barnsley defender Liam Lindsay is looking forward to his first visit to Wembley when his side will be taking on Tottenham Hotspur in their EFL Cup third round clash.

Tottenham will shift their focus towards the domestic cup competitions this week after again failing to win at Wembley at the weekend, where Swansea held onto a 0-0 draw.

Spurs defeated Dortmund last week at Wembley in the Champions League and will be looking to emulate the result in another cup competition against Barnsley.

But the Championship side are pumped up about a trip to England’s national stadium and Lindsay admits that everyone in the squad is vying for a place in the team.

The Scot admits that he is looking forward to taking to the pitch at Wembley on Tuesday evening when his side take on Mauricio Pochettino’s team.

Lindsay said in a press conference: "I'm sure everyone wants to play tomorrow night.

“It'll be my first trip there.

"I've never played at Hampden never mind Wembley!

"It will be a good test for us all, playing one of the very top sides, to see how we compare.

"Let's hope we get something.”

Tottenham are expected to field a much changed line up against the Championship side but Pochettino will be looking to avoid an upset at Wembley.
