A Leeds United scout watched Rosenborg forward Samuel Adegbenro in action against Real Sociedad in the Europa League last Thursday.

Leeds were one of the busiest clubs in the Championship as new head coach Thomas Christiansen and sporting director Victor Orta carried out an overhaul of the squad at Elland Road.

Despite a defeat to Millwall at the weekend, Leeds have made a good start to the season, but the club’s recruitment team are already looking forward to future transfer windows.

And it has been claimed by Scouts In Attendance that a Leeds scout was in attendance at the Anoeta as Real Sociedad smashed Rosenborg 4-0 in a Europa League group game last Thursday.

It has been suggested that one particular player was on Leeds’ watch list in San Sebastian as the scout was taking in the performance of Rosenborg forward Adegbenro.

Despite adding several forwards to their squad this summer, Leeds remain on the lookout for attackers to improve their team and the 21-year-old Nigerian has popped up on their radar.

Adegbenro scored three times in the Europa League qualifiers this season and played a key role in helping Rosenborg reach the group stage of the competition.

Leeds now appear to be tracking the Nigerian.
