Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that injured striker Danny Welbeck will be out until at least the international break early in October.

The England striker picked up a groin injury in the match against Chelsea and had to be replaced in the 73rd minute.

And now the manager has revealed that the former Manchester United man has a scan scheduled for today, which will help Arsenal assess the nature of the injury.

However, Wenger also took time to reveal that Welbeck is set to be sidelined for the games against Doncaster Rovers on Wednesday, West Brom on Sunday, BATE Borisov next Thursday and Brighton & Hove Albion the following Sunday.

"Danny has a scan today. We don't know how bad his groin injury is but he will certainly be out until the international break", Wenger was quoted as saying by his club's official site.

"Mesut is training again, but for tomorrow no [he will not feature].

"He has a little inflammation of his knee."

On Chambers the veteran manager added: "Yes, he will be involved against Doncaster."
