Leeds United winger Stuart Dallas feels the EFL Cup clash against Burnley on Tuesday night will be a good marker for his side to test where they stand.

The Whites, who have been in sparkling form in the present campaign, suffered their first loss in all competitions this season after going down 1-0 to Millwall at the weekend.

Leeds thrashed Port Vale and Newport County 4-1 and 5-1 respectively in their first two matches of the EFL Cup in the ongoing campaign.

But with Burnley being a Premier League side, Dallas explained that the clash at Turf Moor will be a good marker for Thomas Christiansen’s team.

“It will be a good marker to test ourselves and see where we are”, he said on LUTV.

“I’m sure if we play the way we’ve been playing at the start of the season we will give them a really good game.

“It’s a cup game and anything can happen.”

Dallas, who admitted that the game against Burnley will not be easy, however insisted that Leeds will head to Turf Moor full of confidence.

“They’ve a brilliant manager who knows how to get results”, he continued.

“It’s not going to be easy. They are a Premier League side with a lot of quality throughout.

“We know it’s going to be tough, we’ll prepare as best as we can and we’ll go there full of confidence.”

Burnley, who held Liverpool to a 1-1 draw last Saturday, also drew with Tottenham Hotspur last month; the Clarets beat Chelsea 3-2 in their Premier League opener in August.
