Everton linked striker Willian Jose has signed a new deal with Real Sociedad, the Spanish outfit have confirmed.

The Brazilian, who was in decent form for Real Sociedad last season, has put pen to paper on a new deal which will keep him at the club until 2022.




Everton were credited with showing interest in Jose earlier this year and could well rekindle their interest in future.

The Merseyside club were in need of reinforcements up front after losing Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United in the summer.
 


Everton however brought in the likes of Wayne Rooney and Sandro Ramirez to fill the void created by the departure of Lukaku.

West Ham United and Newcastle United were also credited with showing interest in Jose, who joined Real Sociedad from Uruguayan side Deportivo Maldonando in 2016.

The striker has represented Brazil at Under-20 level and counts Sao Paulo, Gremio, Santos, Real Madrid and Las Palmas amongst his former employers.
