Tottenham Hotspur striker Vincent Janssen has vowed to become even better after he scored the first goal of his season-long loan spell at Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

Janssen flopped at White Hart Lane last term and when Mauricio Pochettino swooped to sign Fernando Llorente from Swansea City before the transfer window shut the writing was on the wall for the Dutchman.

He subsequently completed a loan switch to Fenerbahce and was on target at the weekend in the Yellow Canaries' 4-1 Super Lig drubbing of Alanyaspor.

And Janssen is delighted to have made such a positive start to his time in Turkey, with the Dutchman vowing he will now go from strength to strength.

"I scored a goal, I won a penalty, it was my very first game in the starting eleven", he told Sabah.

"I will become even better."

Janssen also feels the Turkish Super Lig is a tough competition, however he has no doubt he can get the better of opposing defences.

"Every team in the league have a strong defence.

"I believe I will overcome this problem", Janssen added.

Janssen will get another chance to add to his goal tally for Fenerbahce when they are in action this coming weekend in what is expected to be a fierce Istanbul derby against Besiktas.
