Ross McCrorie admits that making his debut for Rangers on Tuesday night is the best thing that has happened to him in his life.

The Glasgow giants scored two goals in extra time to edge past Partick Thistle and progress to the semi-finals of the Scottish League Cup after the home side cancelled out Carlos Pena’s second half goal in the 90th minute.




McCrorie replaced an injured Bruno Alves in the heart of Rangers’ defence in the 76th minute and the Scot made an impression in his first stint in Pedro Caixinha’s side.

The Rangers manager predicted a big future for the young defender after the game and the youngster admits it was a dream to finally get the opportunity to make his debut for the club.
 


McCrorie feels happy for his family and friends and has conceded it was the best night of his life.

Asked about his feelings following his debut, the young defender told Rangers TV: “It’s a dream come true.

“Honestly it’s the best thing that has happened to me in my life so just buzzing for it.

“Happy to make my family proud.”
