Pontus Jansson has expressed his delight at the way Leeds United showed fight and vigour to beat Burnley at Turf Moor last night.

The Championship high flyers won the EFL Cup third round clash on penalties as they beat Premier League opposition on their way to the fourth round of the cup competition.

Jansson was left out of the squad after he suffered an injury at the weekend against Millwall and Thomas Christiansen provided opportunities to a number of his squad players.

The strength of the Leeds squad came through and Jansson, who was left at home, was delighted with the way his team-mates showed fight to beat Burnley on the road.

The defender admits that he feels pride at the way his team played last night to progress in the EFL Cup.
