West Ham had a scout in attendance on Tuesday night to watch the Bologna duo of Simone Verdi and Adam Masina in action against Inter Milan.

The Hammers have been criticised for some of the business they did during the summer transfer window and the club are now gearing up for the January window a few months in advance.

Slaven Bilic is aware that there are still holes to fill in his squad and the club could be one of the busier Premier League outfits during the January transfer window.

A creative midfielder and a left-sided full-back remain on their agenda and it seems the club are looking towards Serie A outfit Bologna to find solutions in the upcoming window.

According to Italian outlet Tutto Mercato, a West Ham scout was in attendance at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara as Bologna played out a 1-1 draw against Inter Milan on Tuesday night.

Bologna’s attacking midfielder Verdi and left-back Masina were on the West Ham scout’s watch list and both players completed 90 minutes in the Serie A clash against the Nerazzurri.

It remains to be seen whether West Ham will move for either of the Bologna players when push comes to shove during the January transfer window.
