Rangers manager Pedro Caixinha says he is convinced the Gers can cup the gap to Celtic to just two points by winning the Scottish Premiership clash between the two sides on Saturday.

Currently five points separate Rangers from league leaders Celtic, but Caixinha's men can slash that to just two points at Ibrox.

The Gers boss is convinced that his men can cut the gap and in so doing end Celtic's domestic run of 56 matches without defeat.

He says that his focus is on working out how Celtic will set up as he plots how Rangers can beat their fierce Old Firm rivals.

"My job is to work out what team they will present us with", he told a press conference.

"One that was presented to PSG or the back three used in the majority of games."

And Caixinha, confident of victory, added: "We know we are five points below, we are pointing to finish this game two points below.

"I think we can do it."

Rangers struggled to live up to expectations last term, something which cost former boss Mark Warburton his job, and Caixinha knows the feel-good factor at Ibrox would be supercharged with a win against Celtic.

Both teams were in Scottish League Cup action in midweek and booked their respective semi-final spots.
