Former Manchester United defender David May has been delighted to see Jose Mourinho’s side playing to the final whistle and scoring late goals this season.
Manchester United have netted 16 goals in their opening five league games and scored the most in the last ten minutes of a game in the Premier League this season.
May is sure there is a different feel to the Manchester United side and scoring freely has helped as they are more confident and are always looking like hitting the back of the net whenever they are on the pitch this season.
The former Manchester United defender is delighted to see the side scoring heavily late in the games as it is a sign of the fact that they are not letting up and are playing to the final whistle.
May admits that it is wonderful to see Mourinho’s men not holding themselves back in the last few minutes of a match.

The former defender told MUTV: “Winning breeds confidence.
“The lads scoring, whether it’s [Anthony] Martial, [Juan] Mata, [Marcus] Rashford or [Romelu] Lukaku – whoever is scoring goals, he’s breeding confidence.
“It doesn’t matter who’s playing as when the lads go out there they are so confident, everybody expects them to score and that’s the difference between now and last season.
“The good thing is that we are playing right to the final whistle, whether it’s the 78th minute we score, we don’t hold back and go for the next one.
“We showed that against Everton and we just keep going.
"It’s a great attribute when you know your team are going to go the full 92 or 93 minutes and try and score goals.”
Manchester United will look to continue their free scoring ways and get three more points when they travel to Southampton today.
