Former Celtic goalkeeper Logan Bailly has identified a number of threats Anderlecht will need to watch out for when they tackle the Bhoys in the Champions League on Wednesday night and picked out one player in particular as a class act.

Bailly ended his spell at Celtic in the summer and headed back to his homeland to sign for Belgian side Mouscron.

Anderlecht and Celtic are expected to battle for third place in their Champions League group and Bailly believes the Scottish giants are the stronger side.

The goalkeeper knows Celtic's star performers and has picked out several threats, along with lauding Bhoys winger Patrick Roberts.

"Celtic have a team of fighters and have a lot of individual quality", the goalkeeper told RTBF.

"French attacker Moussa Dembele is coming back from a long spell out, but the danger comes from everywhere.

"They have different weapons: [Leigh] Griffiths, [Scott] Sinclair, captain [Scott] Brown and especially Patrick Roberts, who is on loan from Manchester City and for me is a class apart.

"Add in renowned coach Brendan Rodgers and you know what you're doing.

"I think Celtic are intrinsically stronger than Anderlecht."

However, Bailly is not about to completely write off his countrymen and believes they could yet spring a surprise on Celtic.

"In football, of course, everything is possible and the Paars-Wit showed last season against Manchester United in the Europa League that they can handle the big occasions."

Anderlecht have had a lacklustre start to the new Belgian season, sitting just seventh in the top flight with 12 points from eight games.

They did win at the weekend however, beating Waasland-Beveren 2-1 in an away league clash.
